Aaron Hernandez Pleads Not Guilty in Arraignment: Former New England Patriots tight end, Aaron Hernandez pleaded not guilty to seven charges—including two counts of first-degree murder in the 2012 shootings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado Wednesday according to the Associated Press.

Six weeks after signing his five-year, $40 million contract, Hernandez allegedly stalked both men after feeling disrespected over a spilled drink in a Boston nightclub.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United Owner Malcolm Glazer Dead at 85: After purchasing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1995, Malcolm Glazer, Owner and CEO of First Allied Corporation oversaw the revival of one of the NFL’s worst franchises in Tampa, passed way Wednesday. Under Glazer’s stewardship, the Buccaneers won 131 regular season games had seven playoff births, five playoff wins, built the new Raymond James Stadium and won one Super Bowl title in 2002(XXXVII).

Also the owner of EPL mammoth, Manchester United, Glazer purchased the Red Devils in a £790 million takeover in 2005, which under his stewardship won the Premier League five times, the League Cup three times, the FA Community Shield five times and one UEFA Champions League title.

Glazer is survived by his wife, Lind and their six children, Avram, Kevin, Bryan, Joel, Darcie and Edward.

Poet, Writer and Civil Rights Activist Maya Angelou Dead at 86: Best known for her rousing poetry and the reciting of her poem, “On The Pulse of Morning: at Bill Clinton’s inauguration in 1993, Maya Angelou passed away Wednesday at the age of 86 at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Seen as a modern-day icon of social, cultural and civil rights justice, Angelou wrote seven autobiographies, most notably “ I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings”.  Since 1982, Angelou taught at Wake Forest and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama in 2011.
