One of the more heated AFC North rivalries for the first time in the 2016 season. At 1pm on Sunday, the AFC North division leader Pittsburgh Steelers head down to Baltimore and play their AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. We are getting to the point of the season where for some teams, all the games matter as if they are on the outside looking in and still have a shot to make it, now is generally the time when those runs will get started. You also never see two teams both coming off bye weeks at the same time, but that happens to be the case with these two teams as they both are coming off of a bye week in Week 8. So I will look at their Week 7 match as a recap.

First, the Baltimore Ravens are coming into this game with a record of 3-4 and are one game back in the division and two games back of the wild card. It should be noted that the two current AFC Wild Card teams are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos. After the Ravens came out of the gate strong with wins over the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars, the Ravens have lost four straight games with the last two coming at the hands of the New York Giants and New York Jets. So some would say that the bye week came at a great time for the Ravens.

On the other side, you have a Pittsburgh Steelers team coming into this game with a record of 4-3 and currently, hold the fourth seed in the AFC playoff picture. Just as the Ravens came out the gate strong to begin the 2016 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers also came out of the gate strong as they had wins over Washington, Cincinnati, Kansas City, and the New York Jets. In those stretch of wins, there only loss was to the Eagles in Week 3. However, after they defeated the Jets, that is where the slide began as they would end up going on a bit of a losing streak as they would end up losing to Miami and New England. These losses also came after it was reported that QB Ben Roethlisberger was injured and ended up needing surgery. There have been some reports coming from sources close to the Steelers that Ben Roethlisberger may play on Sunday, but as of this writing, it is still not known if that will actually happen.
