FOXBORO- Tom Brady won five Super Bowls which is more than any quarterback in NFL history. However, there are current discussions that Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers could earn $33 million a year. Matt Ryan earns the most money of all quarterbacks with a earning potential of $30 million annually. Even Tom Brady’s would be successor Jimmy Garrapolo can earn up to $27,500,000 annually. Where does Tom Brady rank on this list?

Are you ready for a shocker? Are you ready to absolutely shake your head in disbelief? Brady’s earning potential is $20,500,00  annually which is ten million  behind Matt Ryan!

Think about this for a minute. The quarterback that won five super bowls earns way less than the quarterback that never won a super bowl! What is going on here? There are 15 quarterbacks that have better salaries than the greatest quarterback of all time. Somethings seems wrong with this picture. Brady’s salary is sixteenth most among active starting quarterbacks.

Yes, other quarterbacks searching for their first super bowl win get paid more. Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Kirk Cousins, Matthew Stafford, Phillip Rivers and Ryan all earn more.

Brady seems comfortable with his current deal but chances are he would really like it if the Patriots give him a salary that rewards him for five super bowl wins.

Brady isn’t getting any younger. He is 40-years-old and his career won’t last much longer. Can the Patriots give him a little more money to retire on? He deserves to be rewarded for his accomplishments.

Even if the Patriots can’t give him a Ryan type of contract, they can least give him a deal worth up to $25 million a year. Obviously, from a business standpoint, management and ownership won’t bust down the doors to pay someone more money when they are comfortable with their current salary. However, if Brady requests a better deal, the Patriots may be willing to give him one.  Brady’s five super bowl wins are more than Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana who both won four.
