The Oklahoma City Thunder will play their second preseason game, but will do so in another country. The Thunder played a tight overtime loss against Real Madrid Monday afternoon.

The Thunder, looking to distance themselves from the shadows and dark cloud placed upon them after the Kevin Durant fiasco traveled to Spain and loss 137-142 as Russell Westbrook scored 18 points and his new backcourt mate Victor Oladipo manage 34. But it was the hot shooting of Sergio Llull that put the Thunder in a bad place.

How will they respond in their second game? Westbrook is not one for losing and I’m sure that he will play more than the 22 minutes he did against Madrid. Lassa does not have the same firepower that Madrid does and the Thunder should be able to exploit every matchup.

For the Thunder to be successful they must  get the ball in the post to Steven Adams and Enes Kanter. Both players understand the International rules and play and should be able to take advantage of a weaker inside game. Ante Tomic and Joey Dorsey does not have the skills to handle the physical nature of the Thunder’s frontcourt.

With revenge in his mind, the Barcelona players must be prepared for what Westbrook will look to achieve as he steps on the court. Westbrook is highly regarded as the best PG in the NBA and when he’s focused on a task, there’s not another player in the world that can stop him. After Monday’s loss, he will look to get his team back on track as they look to finish their preseason and head home to play familiar foes.
