Move over Ronda Rousey, say hello to the hot new face of mixed-martial arts in Paige VanZant.
Known as “12 Gauge”, the 5’4 115-pound blonde dynamo is set to light the Women’s Strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship ablaze.
The Dayton, Oregon native has the looks, fighting style and charisma to steal the spotlight of any show she is on, as she did last night with her incredible performance by dominating Felice Herrig and winning the fight by unanimous decision.
She repeatedly slammed Herrig several times to the mat while she dominated the fight. VanZant even took two of the judges card by a score of 30-26. That means that two of the three rounds were scored in her favor by a rare 10-8 margin.
With the win, VanZant moves to 5-1, and at the young age of 21, and in addition to her hot looks and incredible fighting style, she has become one of the most marketable faces of the UFC.
We all know looks sell, but when you combine her incredible beauty with her flashy aggressive fighting style( a blue belt in Brazilian Ju-jitsu) and she only becomes more marketable.
Dana White can only count the dollar signs every time she fights and wins. She currently trains with Team Alpha Male which houses other big names in the game such as Uriah Faber and TJ Dillashaw to name a few.
She has also been signed to a sponsorship deal with athletic footwear giant, Reebok.
The UFC has already shown how well it can market its female fighters as Rousey has become the most popular fighter on the planet. Now they may need to make way for VanZant, as she has appeared in men’s magazines such as MAXIM.
Expect big things from VanZant as this 21-year-old’s bright future, has only just begun.
