To showcase to the society, the real power of justice, Pascal Najadi, a renowned Swiss investment banker became a peace advocate and filed Federal Prosecutor of Switzerland Criminal Charges for Abuse of Office against Federal Counsel and former President of Switzerland, Mr. Alain Berset.
Born on August 20, 1967, Pascal Najadi is a retired Swiss investment banker, author, and film producer, but most of all he is famous for being a peace and bitcoin activist across the world. He was also the producer of the 2006 film Grounding, which shed light on the circumstances surrounding Swissair’s bankruptcy two decades ago. Najadi is best known for his work as a businessman and investment advisor and possesses extensive experience in investment banking, public relations, and marketing.
Najadi, being an advocate for justice, filed a criminal complaint for abuse of office against SP Federal Councilor Alain Berset, the head of the Interior Department. The complaint was based on a statement made by Alain Berset about the COVID-19 certificate on Swiss television SRF in October 2021. In the statement, he said, “The certificate can be used to show that you are not contagious.” The claim was especially explosive because the Swiss electorate had to decide on the extension of the COVID certificate requirement a month later. “As Minister of Health, Berset either lied or at least acted with gross negligence,” said Najadi to the “fog splitter.”
Najadi’s lawsuit demanded that the Minister of the Interior, who is in charge of the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG), should be held criminally responsible for his allegation. According to him, Berset’s statement contradicted the current state of knowledge. Najadi said, “The fact that vaccinated people who fell ill at the time should not be contagious, but unvaccinated patients should be: we already knew that that wasn’t true.”
To back this up, Najadi cited a statement made by Virginie Masserey, the then-head of the BAG section for infection control and vaccination control, about three months prior, saying, “COVID-19 vaccinated people can spread the Coronavirus just as often as unvaccinated people.” He knew that an abuse of office can result in up to five years in prison.
“Masserey carried out what the federal task force discovered,” Pascal Najadi emphasized. “So Berset told the lie on TV, a few weeks before the election, and this is also being investigated in Switzerland,” Najadi continued. Because of this, the Federal Council acted with gross negligence.
He emphasized that Alain Berset’s statement on the COVID certificate has contributed to a two-tier society. In addition, this type of division is against the constitution as Najadi reported, “Accountability must also apply to federal councilors, not just to private individuals.”
In his complaint, Najadi requested the federal prosecutor’s office to investigate Berset for abuse of office. He stated, “In our country, the people are sovereign. The government works for him and must be accountable to him as I will not give up. There are no more excuses now.”
