The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens in week 9 action. For the Steelers, it will be a game of questions. If Ben Roethlisberger plays, how effective will he be? Can they stop the run? These questions and more are going to lead them to victory or defeat. Are you buying or selling the Steelers in week 9?

Does Ben Roethlisberger play?

If he does, this makes the Pittsburgh Steelers offense very viable against the Baltimore Ravens defense. Roethlisberger is the true offensive leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers. If he is not on the field, the offense is not the same. Just his presence gives the Steelers offense a lift. Everyone plays a step higher because they know that Ben will get them the rock. If Roethlisberger is not on the field the offense becomes average, even with superstars such as Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. The Steelers need Roethlisberger to have a chance at success on Sunday.

Can the Steelers defense stop the run?

This question is somewhat surprising when it comes to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers. We very rarely talk about them as having a poor rush defense. That is not the case thus far in 2016. They are currently ranked 16th against the rush and 25th in rushing TDs. This could make it tough to stop Ravens RB Terrance West. If the Ravens get the ground game going we could see more of the Steelers defense than they would like us to see. The Steelers are going to want to stack the box and make Joe Flacco and the Ravens pass game beat them. This is the softer side of the Ravens offense.

If the Pittsburgh Steelers are able to protect Big Ben then this game could become one of the best of the weekend. However, they always seem to struggle in that department against the Ravens. This is usually a split series on the season. I see that the same again in 2016. I am selling the Pittsburgh Steelers to beat the Baltimore Ravens.
