We are in line for a shootout on Thanksgiving night, as two teams that feature no defense will square off in the third and final of three NFL games on the day. The Pittsburgh Steelers will be hitting the road on turkey day, and their final destination will be Indianapolis where they will take on the Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers arrive in week 12 coming off a 24-9 win in Cleveland against the winless Browns. The Colts won a home game by a score of 24-17 over the Tennessee Titans a week ago. Both clubs enter the week with a 5-5 record.

The Steelers have some of the best offensive weapons in the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger is a guy who fights through injuries and puts up some big points when they are needed. LeVeon Bell is one of the best runners in the league and comes off a 146 yard game on the ground. Finally, we have Antonio Brown, who is arguably the best receiver in the league. But unfortunately for the Steelers, their defense is one of the worst in the NFL. Their passing defense, in particular, is beyond bad, and they allow plenty of yards through the air. They also have a losing record on the road, as they are 2-3 away from the Steel City.

The Colts have a high powered offense, but they may be without their most important player in week 12. Andrew Luck is in the concussion protocol and has not been practicing this week. He appears to be an extreme long shot to play on Thursday, with the only thing in his favor being the fact that the game is at 8:30. If the Colt’s signal caller cannot go, it will be 29 years old Scott Tolzien making his third career start going at quarterback. Tolzien has never really had a chance to prove what he is capable of doing, and he is in his fourth year in the league. Given he will be facing such a poor passing defense, the fourth year man may actually be able to prove he is capable of filling in. It is a total gamble, and the Colts defense will not be stopping Ben and the Steelers, but eight and a half is a lot of points to lay on the road. So I am rolling the dice that the Steelers defense will be worse than Tolzien.
