New York, NY (January 24, 2022) – Post-production powerhouse LEVELS AUDIO is thrilled to announce its expansion to the East Coast, with award-winning audio expert SUE PELINO and industry veteran KASSIE CAFFIERO leading the New York team. The independent post-audio company’s work can be heard on Peacock’s new, original series True Story with Ed and Randall, Netflix’s hit docuseries Cheer, HBO Max’s record-breaking special Friends: The Reunion, NBC’s The Voice, the Disney+ feature documentary Wolfgang and the Oscar-winning short Two Distant Strangers. Levels Audio was founded in 1999 by two-time Grammy award winner and four-time Emmy award recipient BRIAN RIORDAN.

Pelino, a multi-primetime Emmy award winner, is joining as a senior re-recording mixer with Caffiero as the VP of Business Development, East Coast. The duo have collaborated for 35 years on projects such as CBS’ One Last Time: An Evening with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, HBO’s miniseries Nuclear Family and the feature documentary Tom Petty, Somewhere You Feel Free: The Making of Wildflowers. Pelino’s award-winning career includes extensive work with music specials and documentaries which has led her to collaborate with some of the century’s biggest artists like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Elton John, U2, Mariah Carey, among many others.

“I am so excited to join Brian and his amazingly talented team at Levels,” said Pelino. “There’s nothing better than collaborating with like-minded people who speak the language of sound. The New York City studio, LEVELS EAST, is located in the heart of Chelsea. Sound services offered are ADR and voice-over recording, Foley, multitrack music mixing, re-recording mixing in 5.1, 7.1 and Dolby Atmos, sound design, sound editorial and vocal tuning. Levels East is also working on launching a complete picture finishing department encompassing color correction, dailies and online editing.

Brian Riordan – Founder & CEO, Levels Audio

Brian Riordan is a re-recording mixer, music mixer and producer, musician, entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Levels Audio. Before starting the post-sound house, Riordan studied composition at the Berklee College of Music. He cut his teeth in audio engineering as a music mixer and producer, eventually making his way to commercials and feature animation films. In 1999, he founded Levels Audio in response to a shortage of independently owned and operated post-audio facilities. Since then, the sound house has worked with every major network and received numerous accolades for its post-production work in TV and film. Riordan is a two-time Grammy award winner, four-time Emmy award recipient and has received a staggering 20 Primetime Emmy nominations. Levels Audio embodies his life’s dream to facilitate the absolute best in audio post in an unmatched atmosphere of luxury.

When Riordan isn’t in the studio, he works with his nonprofit organization, Hollywood Compassion Coalition (HCC), which he co-founded with award-winning actress, director and producer Natalie Conneely. About Sue Pelino – Senior Re-recording Mixer

Sue Pelino began her career as an audio post-production engineer upon a strong foundation of musical knowledge, spending years as a working musician.  Shortly after beginning her first job in a full service post-production facility in Manhattan, she was immediately drawn to the audio department.  In 1997, Sue joined the team at Sony Music Studios where she has worked on performance series such as VH1 Storytellers and Sessions At West 54th to Tony Bennett: An American Classic, Tupac: Resurrection, and Elton John: The Red Piano. She has been nominated for ten Primetime Emmy Awards for programs including Fleetwood Mac: The Dance and Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival and in 2017, Sue won her third Emmy Award for outstanding sound mixing for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (HBO).  Sue has also won the TEC Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement /Audio Post-Production Engineer.

Sue Pelino has worked with many great artists including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Elton John, U2, Mariah Carey, Idina Menzel, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi and The Eagles… and ADR recording with Meryl Streep and Jessica Chastain. About Kassie Caffiero – VP Business Development

Kassie Caffiero has been and continues to be a leader in the business of television post-production for over twenty five years.  She is a graduate of Queens College and holds a degree in Communication Arts.  Kassie began her post-production career at a small New York City based duplication company and soon moved on to a position with the critically acclaimed CBS television hit, Kate & Allie.  This strong foundation and years of managing the scheduling, operations, and sales departments of several major post-production facilities eventually led Kassie to work her way up to VP of Post Production at Sony Music Studios and President of Post Production at Broadway Video.  Kassie was involved in the business development for notable specials and series including Rise Up New York: The Robin Hood Relief Benefit, Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show (Amazon), The Wonder List with Bill Weir (CNN), Jerry Seinfeld: Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (Netflix) and The Problem with Jon Stewart (Apple).

Over the years, Kassie has not only developed strong relationships with her fellow employees, been instrumental in the careers of some of New York’s finest creative talent, but has gained the respect of her many clients who are often known to say, “Call Kassie… she’ll take good care of you”.
