PrettyLittleThing (PLT), a global fashion brand, is proud to announce a new groundbreaking collection featuring some of the most promising new designers in the industry. Designed by the world-famous supermodel Naomi Campbell, Victor Anate, and Edvin Thompson, the collaboration blends Naomi’s timeless style with the vision of Thompson and Anate.

This exclusive line stems from Campbell’s aspiration to give new talent a chance to shine, regardless of their background. Anate is from Nigeria and Thompson was born in Jamaica, and each designer brings a unique perspective on how to push the fashion world into a new era.

As Campbell put it, “This collaboration is an extension of my commitment to create and promote opportunities for young, emerging designers. Within my collection, it was important to recognize and include some of the amazing talent that’s out there.” Campbell made her first public appearance at age 8 and was named one of just six supermodels in her generation before the age of 20. She’s as motivated to give others the same opportunities as she was given. “I’m very intentional about using my platform to create opportunities for the next generation of creatives from around the world.”

Victor Anate is just 20 years old, but he established his own company, Vicnate, in 2019 in Lagos. This designer is inspired by everything from books to film, designing items that give the wearer the chance to try on new identities and express their individuality. His masterpieces are a modern retelling of glamor and a commentary on just the transformative nature of fashion. When Naomi Campbell and Victor Anate worked together alongside the PrettyLittleThing design team to create the cut-out bodycon design, this style traces the curves of the wearer and is memorable enough to be seen at some of the most exclusive events all season long.

Edvin Thompson established his label in 2016. Theophilio is a ready-to-wear label that embraces diversity. After moving from Kingston to Brooklyn at the age of 9, Thompson celebrates the many cultures and communities he’s been exposed to all of his life. After winning the CFDA award for American Emerging Designer of the Year in 2021, it was clear that he had something special to offer PLT. It’s easy to spot his signature strategy in the off-white satin dress in the latest PLT collection.

On September 5 during New York Fashion Week, guests will see a groundbreaking 15 looks, all of which will be released in several colorways. It’s a testament to Campbell’s lifetime of hard work, one that’s based on the goal of empowering herself and the people that surround her. The show will also be broadcast via YouTube, giving everyone the opportunity to see it all unfold. This event has been a huge milestone for the entire team at PLT. Head of Design, Chris Parnell, was quoted as saying, “This collaboration with Naomi Campbell is a monumental moment for PrettyLittleThing. We are not just launching a new collection; we are making history with the most significant collaboration we’ve ever undertaken. We can’t wait to see our customers wearing these designs.”

The playful staples are sure to make a splash for this holiday season and give wearers the same sense of confidence that Campbell manages on an everyday basis. From sequins and chainmail to jumpsuits and faux leather, there are some dramatic body-hugging pieces mixed in with oversized jackets and attention-grabbing crystals. Materials like velvet and spangles are used in innovative ways, adding hints of playfulness to both the wearer and onlookers alike. They’re perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to feel like a supermodel. Customers can complete their outfits with the accessories available through PLT’s main range.

In addition to the PLT collection, Naomi Campbell is also preparing for the debut of her new docu-series, The Super Models, in September. Showing on Apple TV+, the show explores how icons like Naomi Campbell, alongside colleagues Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington, changed the fashion industry as we know it. On their way to the top, they defied the trends and changed. As Evangelista famously put it, “I don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day.”

Campbell is the center of the series, and she’s excited to explore how she became a changemaker long before the rise of influencers on social media. Models were far more recognized for their faces than their names in the 1980s, and that was if they were noticed at all. Four women had the guts and guile to break up the norms and become internationally famous for their bold choices and stunning grace. Brands flocked to them, knowing that an endorsement from someone like Campbell could all but guarantee success for their new line.

It’s a very busy time for Campbell, as she just welcomed her new son into her family. While she is known for maintaining her personal privacy in the eyes of the public, she has expressed open joy and wonder about first becoming a mother at the age of 50 and then having another child at the age of 53. Posing with her daughter on the cover of British Vogue in 2022, she encouraged women not to give up their dreams of starting a family simply due to their age. These heartwarming glimpses into Campbell’s life have been more than just inspiring for her fans. She’s giving people permission to live their dreams and go after what they want. Whether that’s by wearing a piece from her collection or emulating her stunning drive, Campbell continues to make just as strong of an impression today as yesterday.
