We have a first place team taking on a fourth place team this week. The AFC West’s fourth place holder will travel to Georgia this week, and will be taking on the NFC South’s first place Atlanta Falcons. The Chargers won their second game of the season last Thursday night as they defeated their divisional rivals the Denver Broncos at home. The Falcons went into Seattle and lost by two points in what was their second loss of the season.

The Chargers may not be a very good club, but they can at least score points. They have scored over 20 points in every one of their games thus far this season, with 21 being their lowest score. Their defense however has not allowed them to turn points into wins, as they have given up more than 26 points in all of their losses. Their two wins have seen the defense hold offenses to under 20 points, but those wins have come against the Jaguars and Broncos. Neither club have been offensive powerhouses this season, and both games took place in San Diego.

The Falcons have been one of the best offensive teams in the NFL. They rank first in both points per game and total yards per game. Matt Ryan and the passing game are second in passing yards per game, while the running game ranks ninth in rushing yards per game. The team knows how to score points, and we already know the Chargers are good at giving up points. After suffering a close loss in Seattle, the team returns home in what should be a good game for Matty Ice and Julio. I’m expecting this to be all Falcons, and a ton of points will be put up.
