We have a showdown in the AFC West in week eight of the NFL season. The last place San Diego Chargers will head to Colorado to take on the now CJ Anderson-less Denver Broncos, who currently sit in second in the division. The Chargers are riding a two game win streak, with their latest win being last week in Atlanta, in overtime. The Broncos shook off a losing streak, as they won last week as well, in a game against the Houston Texans.

The Chargers finally won a close game! After weeks of always losing the close contests, the Chargers finally went to overtime and won. The team has been one of the harder ones to pin down this season. They are beaten up with injuries, and losing most games they play. But even when they lose, they are typically in the game for a the majority of the contest. Two weeks back on Thursday Night Football, they defeated these same Broncos by a score of 21-13. Now that game did come at home, but we do know they are capable of winning against Denver. This week they take to the road, where they only won for the first time last week.

The Broncos are down a running back. CJ Anderson is having knee surgery, meaning Devontae Booker will be taking over those duties as the main man in the backfield. He looked solid a week ago, and the change should not change much. The Broncos have been playing in lower scoring affairs lately, and I look for their defense to step up in this one. No team likes to loss to the same team twice, and you know that week six game is still fresh in their heads. But the question is, do they have enough firepower to win by more than six? Well this is either going to be a totally one sided affair. or one that goes the way of most Chargers games, which means it will be extremely close. Since I do not love Denver, I lean towards option two.
