There is an NFL showdown in South Beach this week. One of the league’s worst teams will take on one of the hottest. The 1-9 San Francisco 49ers will head to Miami where they will meet the 6-4 Miami Dolphins. The 49ers are coming off of their ninth straight loss, this one at the hands of the New England Patriots at home. The Dolphins went into Los Angeles and mounted a comeback victory over the Rams and Jared Goff.

The Dolphins are on fire right now. The team is on a five game winning streak, and it has been thanks to the running game. Jay Ajayi emerged on the scene at the start of this winning streak, and the Dolphins have been riding that momentum. Their defense has also been fairly strong, and the team has simply been hitting a lot of the right buttons. This week they get to face one of the worst teams in the league at home, and the only real question is whether they can cover an eight point spread.

Hands down, there Niners are just a hard team to watch. There is nothing about the team that is fun to watch, and they do little to inspire you in any way. Now they are almost always more than a touchdown underdog, and I can never guess right with this crappy team. Whenever I show some faith in them, they get blown to pieces. When I go against them, they hang in there and win thanks to the spread. But I just do not see any reason to believe in them on the road against a team that is winning left and right right now. So I will stick with my gut, and go against Chip Kelly.
