Santos Stunner! Q and A With Brazilian Fashion and Commercial Model, Amanda Gomes Dos Santos

Santos, Brazil.

Some can this southeastern Brazilian seacoast town the ‘Miami of Brazil’ due to it’s scenic and simply gorgeous location. And in some ways, both cities are like, yet different at the same time.


Home to the Coffee Museum and the storied soccer club that helped launch the career of futbol’s greatest player ever in Pele, Santos—and the Sao Paolo region—is also home to famous notables such as MMA fighter Anderson Silva, MLB star Yan Gomes of the defending AL champion Cleveland Indians and two-time World Cup champion, Cafu.

In a country that produces both soccer-playing gods and tall, tanned Amazon goddess-like models, it’s no surprise that Santo-born and UK-based fashion model, Amanda Gomes Dos Santos is the next great Brazilian export.

Dos Santos, who has modeled for brands such as L’Oreal, ASOS and Ladbrokes, is a head-turning Brazilian babe with curves and a sense of sexiness worthy of her fellow model co-patriots. Despite being 5’4, Gomes is quite the dynamo as she is one of the hottest—and most underrated Brazilian models—worth following on Instagram, per the website, Human Research as she has 10.3k followers and growing.

Now based almost 6,000 miles away from her native Brazil in Norwich, England, Gomes in beginning to turn heads in the UK and the rest of Europe as one of the hottest fashion and commercial models on the market today.

Below is my Q and A with Ms. Santos as we talk all things Brazil, her beloved Santos F.C. her fellow Brazilian models offering her inspiration and motivation.

What brands/companies have you modeled for? Which one do you enjoy modeling for the most? ASOS, L’oreal, Ladbrokes, John Lewis, Jarrolds, Lotus Driving Academy, Cath Kidston, She Who Dares, House of Fraser, Costa Cafe, AHF Home Furnishing,  Ron Howard movie ‘RUSH’ also local independent shops/designers – Vanilla Norwich, Ginger Fashion, Pure Brides, LAND clothing, Mystic Magic Masquerade, Emily Victoria White Bridal Wear, Michele Hartmann Shoes Design, Sebastian London, Norfolk Brides, Norwich BID the list goes on… It was a pleasure working with all of them I’ve enjoyed each and every experience and I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given.

Where has been your favorite place to shoot? I love shooting on the beach.

What is the most exciting aspect of modeling? Traveling and meeting new people is by far the most exciting aspects of the modeling business.

With fall right around the corner, what fashion and style tips and trends do you have for looking good when the temperature drops? When the temperature drops, layering is the key to looking stylish while staying warm.

Within the industry, who is your inspiration? My Brazilian beauties Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima.

What is your secret to staying in shape? I make exercise my priority no matter what! As well as eating healthy and learning to listen to my body, also having at least 7-8 hours each night is just as important.

Outside of modeling, what are your hobbies? Salsa dancing and keeping fit.

Sports question: Who are your favorite teams and clubs? Santos Football Club (Santos F.C.)

What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into modeling? I highly recommend anyone who wants to become a model to do research into the career and industry before getting into it. Look into companies around your area that specialize in the type of modeling you want to go into.
