The Seattle Seahawks are an interesting team on offense as they finished 10-5-1 last season but they ranked 19th in the NFL in points, 10th in Passing Yards, and 25th in Rushing averaging 99.4 yards per game. So what do you do if you are ranking so low on the ground?  You go and sign a running back who has a lot of potential.

In steps Eddie Lacy who many criticize often for being too heavy. Has signed a deal with the Seahawks with incentives for him losing weight the more weight he loses the more bonuses he gets. If he could become half the player he was with Green Bay, he will help this offense turn it around.  He will be splitting carries with Thomas Rawls until he can prove he is ready to be the every down back.

They were an interesting team on offense one that relied on their passing attack and got most of the rushing yards from their QB. They return last season’s top WR in Doug Baldwin who went for 94 catches for 1128 yards and seven TDs which was by far a career year for him in receptions and yards. They have the ever-dangerous Jimmy Graham returning as well. He gives them a vertical presence as well as a red zone threat.

Part of the reason for the ranking near the bottom in rushing was not just the running back position but it was also the offensive line they were awful last season and will need to greatly improve if they are going to be successful this season. They only lost one offensive player from last season and it was on the offensive line.

The other position they lost was at kicker. They allowed Steven Hauschka to leave for Buffalo while signing Blair Walsh.  Hauschka was a very good and accurate kicker during his time in Seattle and Blair Walsh not so much, so we will see how this will affect the Seattle Seahawks in the kicking game.
