The grades are in and it looks like the Jacksonville Jaguars passed the NFL Draft with a solid “B” according to Gennaro Filice and Nick Shook of NFL.com.

It’s an odd grade when you consider the two NFL writers have the Jaguars ranked 24th out the 32 teams in the league. The Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys were ranked as the two best teams for what they did the final weekend in April.

The Jacksonville Jaguars focused heavily on finding depth at strong positions in the first found rounds and used the remaining three choices the franchise had to try and shore up areas that could need an upgrade.

“[Jacksonville Jaguars general manager] Dave Caldwell can’t get enough of front-seven defenders, apparently, but that’s not a bad thing with this squad. Bryan will arrive in Jacksonville as a reliable rotational player, which was a major key to the Jaguars’ sustained rush in 2017, thanks to rotating in players such as Marcell Dareus,” the story stated.

There was some concern about the team finding help after losing both Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns in the offseason. DJ Chark was added in the second round, a move the analysts say was a good replacement and should add the wide receiving corps.

“…. they’ve found his replacement in Chark, a big receiver who commands respect in the deep game with a 4.34 40-yard dash time.”

Harrison was a surprise, mainly because he lasted so long. It is believed he will become, “The hammer on the back end of Jacksonville’s secondary, bringing a wallop between corners Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye.”

Will Richardson is a depth pick who could end up unseating Jermey Parnell at right tackle down the road. Richardson had a solid career at N.C. State, but dealt with off-field issues that may have caused his stock to drop. Richardson was one of 63 rookies and eligible players who attended rookie minicamp last weekend at TIAA Bank Field.
