After seeing his current club win its seven all-time FA Community Shield over fierce West London rival, Chelsea 2-1 in penalties, is Alexis Sanchez set to leave Arsenal?

Sanchez, who tallied 24 goals and ten assists in 38 appearances for the fifth-place Gunners during the 2016-17 campaign, had been linked to make a move to clubs such as Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and fellow EPL rival Manchester City, before reportedly agreeing to stay for what may be his final season at the Emirates.

Despite Arsenal adding former Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and lining up a potential third bid somewhere north of a club-record £60 million to lure Thomas Lemar from Monaco, the Chilean striker seems determined to leave North London for greener pastures.

And after winning the FA Community Shield, is Arsenal primed to finally finish top of the English table for the first time since 2004? Who knows, but make no mistake, Alexis will be key component in what will be a potent Arsenal attack that could feature himself, the forementioned Lacazette and Lemar up front.

Combine that with what is expected to be a wide-open race to the top four between Chelsea, forementioned Manchester City, Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool, look for Alexis to be featured prominently.

As with all things in the transfer window, nothing is as it seems, and until said player is wearing another team’s stripe, then such rumors are pure speculation at best.

Per https://www.10bet.co.uk, odds on Alexis staying at Arsenal after the summer transfer window favor the Gunners at 1.3, followed by chances of him going to Manchester City (3.1), Paris Saint-Germain (3.15) and Bayern Munich (11.0).

Notable longshots to land Alexis include his former club Barcelona (17.00), Manchester United (23.00), Chelsea and Liverpool (29.00), Italian sides Juventus and Inter Milan (34.00) and defending European champion, Real Madrid with the longest odds at 41.00.

As witnessed with the recent mega-deal to bring Neymar from Catalonia to Parc de Princes, nothing in the transfer window—especially rumors—is ever true, until the ink has dried and one is sporting a new club’s strip.

Alexis may be a Gunner for now, but be cautious as anything can happen.
