Director J.J. Abrams is a master of teasing the mind in his movies. It’s obvious that the second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens succeeded in providing the carrot that fans are chasing.

Abrams specialties include best visual effects, advanced sound, and showing the emotional turbulences of main characters. All these techniques are needed in a Star Wars film and he is sure to bring it.

Will Abrams employ an engaging storyline for Star Wars: The Force Awakens? This question is the one Abrams needs to answer and the answer won’t be there until provided until this December when the film starts in cinemas across the world.

One aspect of the film that is clear is the emotional turbulence of one of the characters. A storm trooper named Finn (John Boyega) apparently has serious thoughts of leaving the remnant of the Imperial Empire behind. The symbolic part of the trailer is when one of the characters lends her hand to help him get up after what is presumed to be the trooper’s crash landing on the desert planet Tatooine.

One of the most Impressive visual scenes involves the crashed imperial cruiser and rebel x-wing fighter on Tatooine as a speeder (vehicle) races across the  desert landscape. It gives fans a clue that a great battle will take place early on in the movie which could be the reason for Finn’s crash landing.

All of these techniques combined with Abram’s knack for intense battle action scenes could make The Force Awakens the top film of all time, breaking the box office record for highest total profit and winning several Oscar Awards.

Bringing back Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Leia Solo, formerly Organa), Mark Hamill (Luke Sywalker, brother of Leia and son of Anakin/Darth Vader), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C3PO) and Kenny Baker (R2-D2) has fans craving for what’s next.
