Clothes go through a lot of washing and drying. Make sure the label can withstand that pounding without peeling or cracking.
Soft and Non Irritating
Sticking something on your skin all day can be irritating if it’s not soft. This is important for younger children who may have sensitive skin.
Easy to Read Print
If the name or writing you picked fades over time, you lose all benefit of using a clothing label. Pick something that will last.
Mistakes I Made with Clothing Labels
Here are some mistakes I learned the hard way.
I purchased the cheapest labels I could find.
I didn’t make sure the area I was applying them to was clean and dry.
I didn’t push down on the label firmly enough.

Buy cheap = materials don’t last as long. Simple as that.
When I started buying better quality material and followed the directions, they worked like a charm.
Are Clothing Labels Worthwhile?
Yes! In my opinion, they are.
Super easy to use. Inexpensive and actually do the job they are intended to do.
You don’t need any special equipment or knowledge on how to sew. And they don’t take long at all to start using.
