PHILADELPHIA, PA — After upsetting the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs 42-20 in Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles celebrated their franchise’s own second title in front of a crowd of 1.5 million in Philadelphia, officially closing the book on the NFL 2024-25 season.

With teams now expected to start preparing for both free agency and the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft up in Green Bay, here are some of my post Super Bowl thoughts and off-season predictions.

1.) Look for RB’s to be great again: Call this the Saquon Barkley-Derrick Henry effect! Thanks to these two powerhouse running backs, the RB is back in vogue again.

Teams looking to snatch a franchise tailback (cough, cough Dallas!) have plenty to choose from in a loaded 2025 draft class that includes Ashton Jeanty, Kaleb Johnson, TreyVon Henderson and Omarion Hampton.

2.) Thanks to a weak QB class, Titans and Browns may wait til ‘26. While this may not be the worst QB class in recent memory, Outside of Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, there isn’t much. With both Cleveland and Tennessee likely to either “want” a QB, it wouldn’t shock me if both trade back to address other areas of need.

Sleeper draft pick: QB Jaxson Dart out of Ole Miss, if he has a good Scouting Combine and Pro Day, the former USC star could make a solid case for QB2, and leapfrog either or both Ward and Sanders.

2.) Myles Garrett and Browns part ways on Draft Night. Thanks to his bombshell trade request demand, Garrett could easily alter the entire NFL landscape the same way he does opposing offensive linemen.

While both sides won’t budge, as the Browns do have control over Garrett for two more seasons, Cleveland has leverage and can hold onto the 2023 DPOY until they get the right combination of picks and draft capital.

3.) Kirk Cousins traded for Cleveland: Speaking of the Browns (again!) With Penix now QB1 down in the ATL, it will only be a matter of time before Cousins is dealt. Cleveland makes the most sense for so many reasons. Cousins would be the perfect bridge QB until—insert name—is ready to start under center.

4.) Sam Darnold goes to Raiders: With JJ McCarthy waiting in the wings, and his value as high as it’ll ever be, the Vikings needs to decide if and when they will either tag Darnold, sign him, or let him go. More than likely, it’s looking more and more like Darnold bolts MSP for Sin City and the Silver and Black.

5.) Aaron Rodgers goes to Titans? With Mayo Man being a bust in Will Levis, and no other real options, A-Rod slides down to Nashville to much weaker division and a chance to have awkward moments with his estranged brother, Jordan deep in the heart of SEC Nation.
