Not much has gone right for the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh this NBA season. Despite getting a five-year $118 million extension in the offseason and averaging 21 points and seven rebounds his team went limping into the 2015 All-Star break with a 22-28 record, barely enough to keep eight place in the Eastern Conference.

Thing might turn around soon though as Bosh along with NBA legend Dominique Wilkins and Swin Cash of the WNBA’s New York Liberty were able to make it a three-peat in the Shooting Stars Challenge held Saturday night during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center.

Team Bosh got an early challenge to their crown as the team consisting of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook, former NBA great Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway, and the Indiana Fever’s Tamika Catchings in the first round of the contest. It didn’t transfer to the Finals as Team Westbrook failed to make a half court shot in the allotted time of 90 seconds.

Team Bosh won the contest in a fitting fashion. In the TV lead up TNT’s Kenny Smith insisted that Wilkins was being carried by Bosh in the previous contests. Wilkins finished the night by making the clinching shot.

The weekend is not over for Bosh as he heads to Madison Square Garden on Sunday as a reserve player for the East in the All-Star game.
