Victor Cruz and his salsa dance were something that fans of the New York Giants loved to see. However, they will no longer see that, at least not in New York. Cruz was released on February 13, 2017, from his contract with the Giants. He has battled injuries over the past couple of seasons. That is not to say that he does not have something left in the tank. Let’s look at 5 places he could take his services and salsa dance.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns are young at wide receiver. If they are able to resign Terrell Pryor and the youth that is Corey Coleman and Rashard Higgins can stay healthy the Browns could have weapons. It would be a great value to add a veteran presence such as Victor Cruz. Not only would Cruz help the offense, but he can help develop the younger QBs as well by giving them a reliable target to throw to.

Los Angeles Chargers

This would be a great fit for Victor Cruz. The Chargers need to add some reliable hands to an offense that struggled in 2016. If they can keep Keenan Allen healthy and add a player like Victor Cruz, the Chargers could be one of the top offenses in the league in 2017.

Washington Redskins

The Redskins are an interesting team. They have two of their wide receivers that are going to be free agents, Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson. Depending on who the Redskins choose to resign, Victor Cruz could be the ideal replacement. He can line up outside and he can also play the slot. The Redskins have 2016 First Round Pick, Josh Doctson, who is recovering from Achilles tendonitis. He could be used to replace the other if they choose not to sign either free agent. Cruz would also have 2 opportunities per year to stick it to the Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are in dire need of WRs. What better place to go than to another division rival. As mentioned above Victor Cruz would get to stick it to the Giants twice a year of signed by the Eagles. He could also come in and be the veteran leader that the young Eagles WR Corps needs. He could also be a lean on me target for Carson Wentz.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills are a team in flux right now. No matter the flux, they still need WRs. Sammie Watkins cannot stay healthy and Robert Woods is not solid enough to be a number one. This could be ideal for Victor Cruz. It also has its family advantages as well. He would just be traveling a small distance to upstate New York and would not have to uproot his family if he did not want to.

Honorable Mentions

Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings.

Victor Cruz will have suitors once free agency opens up. I still believe that he can be a solid contributor to whoever selects his services. We will see the salsa again in 2017. Where remains to be seen.
