When people talk about the 2016 Washington Redskins they do not talk positive. Many people still have this team finishing 3rd or 4th in a wide-open division. The roster of the 2016 Washington Redskins is one that will maintain and grow. Let us take a look the offense by position.

Quarterback

Kirk Cousins is the franchise QB of the Washington Redskins. I would not be surprised if Cousins grows from where he left off last season. He had one of the best ten game stretches of any recent quarterback. Even at status quo, the Redskins finally have a stable piece to call their own. Kirk Cousins will take the Washington Redskins to places that they have not been in a very long time. Watch the quarterback grow in 2016.

Running Backs

Second-year guy Matt Jones leads the RBs of the Washington Redskins. Jones was given the starting job after the team decided to part ways with Alfred Morris. However, some question marks are surrounding Jones. Can he hold on to the football? Now, since he recently injured his shoulder, can he stay healthy? Waiting in the wings and coming off a strong preseason performance is Robert Kelly. This kid runs with power, speed and is a one cut back. If Jones should falter, Kelly could step right in and do the job.

Wide Receivers

DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon, Jamison Crowder and Josh Doctson lead one of the best wide receiving groups in the NFL. Throw in the speed of Rashad Ross and the route running of Ryan Grant and the Washington Redskins are loaded on offense. If Kirk Cousins has time from his offensive line, the Washington Redskins should be one of the best passing offenses in the NFL in 2016. Keep your eye on this extremely loaded set of wide receivers.

Tight End.

Jordan Reed is the tight end of the Washington Redskins. He can be argued as the best tight end in the NFL. His only question mark is health. For Jordan Reed, if this kid can stay healthy and on the field, then the sky is the limit, not only for him but the Washington offense. There is now depth behind him as well. The Washington Redskins have Vernon Davis and Niles Paul behind Reed. There is no shortage this season at this vaunted position.

Offensive Line

The offensive line of the Washington Redskins is improving at every turn. Guard Shawn Lauvao returns from an ankle injury that set him back in 2015. With him, in the mix, the Washington Redskins were able to run the ball. Once he went down with his injury the running woes reared their ugly head. The return of Lauvao should bring a needed veteran presence to this line. Center may be the lone question mark along the o-line. Kory Lichtenstieger is a bit on the smaller side of the Jay Gruden style lineman. They have experimented with using Spencer Long at the position as well in the preseason. They like his power and ability to get to the next level. It may not be long before we see him replace Stieger in the rotation.

The tackles are the mainstays of this offensive line. Forever Redskin, Trent Williams will be entrenched at left tackle until he feels like he no longer wants to play football. On the right side, the younger Morgan Moses has taken the reigns and never looked back after 2015. They should be able to keep Kirk Cousins upright as they did last year. The question will be; can they open holes in the run game?

The offense of the Washington Redskins in one that can be tops in the league. If they can rekindle the run game here should be no reason why this team cannot compete with 11-12 games in 2016. That is the type of offense they can put on the field. 2016 is here Washington Redskins fans. Let’s go for it! HTTR!!!
