We have our third London game of the season this week. The Washington Redskins will travel across the pond to take on the Marvin Lewis led Cincinnati Bengals. The Redskins are coming off a 20-17 loss on the road to the Detroit Lions. The Bengals on the other hand, won a home game against the Cleveland Browns.

Both teams are hovering around .500 mark, but the Redskins are above that it at 4-3. The Redskins had won four straight prior to the the loss to the Lions a week ago. The team is dealing with their fair share of injuries however. Matt Jones and Jordan Reed, two of the teams best offensive weapons. Matt Jones is dealing with a knee issue, and has not looked the same the last few weeks. Rob Kelley would likely step up if Jones cannot go, and that is not exactly a bad thing. Reed has been out for a few weeks now, and Vernon Davis has been filling in. Reed has traveled with the team, which is a good sign, so his participation is certainly possible.

As for the Bengals, I have a golden rule. Never pick them as the favorites thanks to Marvin Lewis’ style of coaching. Even when they win, he gets very safe late in the games, and laying points with them is dangerous. London games can sometimes be ugly low scoring affairs, built on the run game. Just so happens Marvin loves to run the ball. So expect to see plenty of Giovanni Bernard and Jeremy Hill in this one. Neither team is going to pull away in this one, and a close game is a very real possibility.
