INSCMagazine: Get Social!

Over the last few weeks, we have seen The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) taken on Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in mostly singles action. The feeling from the WWE Universe is that we will probably be getting a match at Summerslam between the Bar and 2/3rds of the former faction that was known as the Shield.

However, while nothing is set yet, the build towards this inevitable match has been done perfectly. You have someone in Seth Rollins who knows that he has screwed up, but he wants to mend fences. On the other hand, you have Dean Ambrose who is being very hesitant on whether or not he can accept Seth Rollins. This is like when you have that friend who you get into a fight with. After you don’t talk for some time, he wants to try and rekindle the friendship. However, the other person isn’t too sure if they want to for fear that they will get hurt again.

On this past episode of RAW, we saw Seth Rollins fight Sheamus and Dean Ambrose fight Cesaro. After the Rollins match, he would get double teamed but had no back up. On the other hand, Dean Ambrose got attacked by Sheamus after his fight and Rollins came down to help. Then we saw both guys in the ring and Dean Ambrose was trying to extend an olive branch and Rollins didn’t take it.

Just to do some fantasy booking for a second, I would have it be Ambrose and Rollins vs. the Bar on RAW on Monday from the TD Garden in Boston. I would have Ambrose and Rollins win and then get on the mic and say something to the extent of we beat you now, we want the titles and we want them at Summerslam. Later on in the show, we see a graphic where it is official.

Personally, I feel the WWE would be foolish to not book this match. My feeling is that for the four major pay-per-views (Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series) most of the titles should be on the card. I am aware that you may not be able to get all of them, but you should make an attempt. As of this writing, you have the WWE Championship, Universal title, both woman’s title, the United States title, and the SMackdown tag titles booked.
