There happen to be rumors floating around that UFC superstar Conor McGregor is open to the idea of coming to the WWE. This was brought up after Conor’s manager mentioned that his client wants to come to the WWE on an episode of the podcast known as “Five Rounds.” Audie Attar said regarding his client joining the WWE, “I think it’s all about business, man.” He would go on to say, “If (WWE) is going to come with an offer, we are willing to entertain it. We are here. Have their people call his people-which is me. We can have a conversation.”

It should be noted that Triple H attended the historical UFC 205 that happened at Madison Square Garden. In the main event of this card, UFC Featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, ended up becoming the first fighter in the history of the UFC to end up holding two titles in two different weight classes after he defeated Eddie Alvarez for the Lightweight Championship. At the event, Triple H mentioned to The Telegraph that WWE is indeed interested in bringing in McGregor into the WWE.

If this were to happen, it would also be historical in another matter. Conor McGregor would be the first UFC fighter to go from the octagon to the squared circle. There have been a few WWE superstars who have gone the other way, and they include Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Bobby Lashley (Bellator), and Ken Shamrock to name a few. What will be interesting to see is if this would be a full-time thing or a part time thing?

Overall, being that we are a few months away from Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando anything is possible. It will be interesting to see if WWE pulls this off and how WWE brings him in will also be interesting to see if it happens. I would also like to mention that this is a rumor and it should be taken with a grain of salt.
