We are still a few months away from Wrestlemania 33, but WWE is starting to plant possible seeds of matches we might be seeing at Wrestlemania.

According to several wrestling sites, WWE could be planting the seeds that we could end up seeing a possible Shane McMahon vs. Dean Ambrose match happening. A lot of this could be because once the feud between AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose wraps up this Sunday at TLC, the list of viable wrestlers to go up against Dean Ambrose that would make any sense. However, the only way this feud could even happen is if Dean Ambrose turns heel.

However, you might be asking yourself, “What would be the story line that would lead to McMahon having a fight with Ambrose at Wrestlemania ?” Well, let me take you back to Survivor Series that just happened a few weeks ago.

After Dean Ambrose was eliminated in the five-on-five traditional elimination men’s match, he would come back into the match and get AJ Styles eliminated from the match with help from his former Shield brothers, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins, who triple power bomb him through the announcer table.

Then fast forward to the Smackdown Live, where it was evident that there is some tension between Shane McMahon and Dean Ambrose. When the WWE was coming out of Summerslam, the feeling was that we were going to have Shane McMahon have a match against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania, but after Lesnar got squashed by Goldberg at Survivor Series, it now seems that we are getting Lesnar/ Goldberg 3 at WrestleMania.

Before that, it was reported that we were going to get Triple H vs. Shane McMahon, but that now seems not to be the case.

If this match were to come to the forefront, it would probably have a stipulation of a street fight, that way WWE can bring out the “extreme” in both Shane McMahon and Dean Ambrose. Also, this could be one of the better matches if WWE books it properly and allows both wrestlers to have enough time in the ring to tell a decent story.

As always, this is only a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.
