WWE: Samoa Joe or Roman Reigns should be the ones to take the title off of Lesnar

INSCMagazine: Get Social!

It seems that the WWE is not set yet in what the main event will be for Summerslam. However, it seems that there have been rumors going around that we could be getting Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal title. These plans could change if they decide to put the title on Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire.

If the WWE does go the route of having Roman Reigns/ Brock Lesnar main event Summerslam, what would that mean for the main event of Wrestlemania 34. After Wrestlemania 33, reports started coming out that Reigns would be going for the WWE Universal title at Wrestlemania 34. I could see two possible things occur at next year’s Wrestlemaina. It could see the grudge match between Lesnar and Reigns or I could see Cena vs. Reigns.

If it is Samoa Joe or Roman Reigns, who takes the title off of Lesnar, I feel that is the best thing that could happen. Brock Lesnar won the WWE Universal title from Goldberg at Wrestle mania 33 and basically did not show up on TV for the next few months. Due to the fact that RAW was seeing rather low ratings over the last few weeks, it would make sense to take the belt off of Lesnar. While there will be probably be people who are not a fan of the idea of Roman Reigns winning the title, it may help the ratings.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Samoa Joe win the title. If he wins it, he would also make history. The history would be that he would win the triple crown for the biggest titles in North American promotions. He had previously won the Ring of Honor title and the TNA title. Also the way that the WWE has been pushing both Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns as of late, I truly feel that the WWE will be putting the belt on either Samoa Joe or Roman Reigns. Personally, I hope it is Samoa Joe, but I could see it being Roman Reigns.
