Here we are again, we are on the road to WrestleMania. It will take place on April 7th at the MetLife Stadium in New York. We are set for a jam packed evening with some high quality matches taking place.

One match that has dominated the build up is the triple threat match between Ronda Rousey v Becky Lynch v Charlotte Flair. To say it has been an easy road would be an understatement. Back in January, at the Royal Rumble, Becky Lynch won the Royal Rumble defeating her rival Charlotte Flair in the process and that rubber stamped her ticket to WrestleMania where she would finally square up to Ronda Rousey.

It has been a rivalry that has been brewing since last year in the run up to Survivor Series and finally, they will come head to head. However, there is a third component and that is Charlotte Flair. Vince McMahon decided to throw a spanner in the works and add Charlotte Flair to the match. Along with that Becky had a knee injury, then she got suspended and then arrested but finally the McMahons saw sense and lifted the suspension and she was finally added to the match.

To top it off, this week, the WWE announced that the triple threat match would be the main event to close Wrestlemania. What a feat, what a moment……….

So, the triple threat match is set for Wrestlemania. The Man v The Queen v The baddest woman on the planet…

Another match that has intensified over the coming weeks has been Batista v Triple H.

It all started on the 1,000th edition of Smackdown Live where Evolution reunited but all was not as it seemed as Batista claimed that the only man Triple H hadn’t beaten was him. That was the last we saw of Batista until Ric Flair’s 70th birthday celebration. Batista came and attached Flair and laid him out to end the celebration which then prompted a face to face confrontation between the two. Batista said he wanted one last match and that was to face Triple H at WrestleMania which he duly accepted with one added stipulation, the career of Triple H is on the line……

It’s not everyday that you see grown men cry but on the recent edition of Smackdown Live, one man’s dream finally came true. Kofi Kingston had faced an uphill battle to even be considered a part of the WWE Championship picture so at the Elimination Chamber, he had his moment and opportunity. Kofi put in a monumental performance and was so close to winning the title but Daniel Bryan was victorious.

However, there were calls for Kofi Kingston to receive another title opportunity, this time a one on one opportunity.

There was just one small matter and that was Vince McMahon. At FastLane, he was set for a title opportunity but instead he was replaced by Kevin Owens and   you could see that it got to him but he kept on fighting and last week, he was out in a gauntlet match. If he won, he was going to WrestleMania. Unfortunately he came up short thanks to a spanner in the works by Vince McMahon. This week ,however , his fellow brothers – Big E and Xavier Woods were told that if they won the gauntlet match, then Kofi would be going to WrestleMania.

During the middle of the gauntlet, the Usos came out and in a moment of sheer class, they told the New Day how all three had gained the respect of the locker room and the WWE Universe, so they forfeited the match and it came down to Daniel Bryan and Rowan. Rowan thought he had both Big E and Xavier Woods in the palm of his hands but he was knocked into the ring post twice, Big E threw him over the announcers table and then threw the table on top of him.

The referee began the 10 count and he got to 10…… Kofi is going to WrestleMania. As the three of them embraced in the ring, you could see how much it meant to them. After years of blood, sweat and tears, Kofi is finally going to WrestleMania and we can’t wait for it.

Some of the matches we are looking forward to is Seth Rollins v Brock Lesnar. These two have history with each other and once again, Rollins is looking to burn down Suplex City. Also, at Wrestlemania, the women’s tag team title will be on the line as Bayley and Sasha Banks are set to defend the titles against The Iconics, Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka and Natalya along with then returning Beth Phoenix.

The road to WrestleMania has begun and with just over a week to go, we are nearly there for one of the most highly anticipated WrestleMania’s in recent history.
