The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, fall to the Cardinals 12-8 Sunday night. Eric Aguilera was the front of the Riders offense, finishing the night with four RBIs and a home run. Frisco has now lost four of their last five, and sit at 39-48 for the year.

Eric Aguilera and Scott Heineman each hit two-out, three-run home runs, providing the offensive spark for the Riders. Heineman’s blast gave the Riders a 3-0 lead in the top of the third, and Aguilera’s long ball put the Riders in front 6-4 in the sixth. Springfield had two big innings to score their first 10 runs. They sent home four in the third, and six in the sixth inning. Both rallies came in the immediate half-inning after the RoughRiders took a lead.

The Cardinals were led by MLB rehabber Kolten Wong, who fell a triple shy of the cycle. He went 3-5 with an RBI double and a three-run home run.

Pedro Payano lasted just two innings for the RoughRiders. He allowed two hits and no runs in his performance. Connor Sadzeck ended up earning the loss, pitching one inning, allowing five hits and six runs (all earned).
