CLEVELAND, OH — in what was seemingly fitting on the first ever Juneteenth holiday weekend, Canadian-born fashion entrepreneur, Aimon Ali brought high-end haute courtier to the Cleveland Museum of Art with her second annual Fashion Talks runway event.

Fashion Talks, which strives to elevate Cleveland in the fashion world, returned for its second straight year after debuting last year at The Madison in midtown Cleveland.

If last year’s show was their proverbial dipping their toes into the water, this year’s fashion event was a full-on plunge into the deep end as Fashion Talks learned from last year in moving to a much more spacious and visually stunning venue at the Museum of Art in University Circle.

One couldn’t ask for a more perfect and open space with natural light in the atrium and open airy vibes that helped showcase the newest looks and faces from both the great Cleveland area as well as those from recent refugees who relocated to Northeast Ohio.

Having photographed and covered other runway fashion shows and events at NYFW, DC Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, Fashion Talks was one of the nicest and properly executed that I’ve experienced in recent memory, thanks to its focus on classy ambience and inviting vibe, which is a credit to the near-perfect execution of Ali’s vision by her wonderful team.

While Fashion Talks isn’t NYFW or LAFW-level yet, thanks to FT and the wonderful folks behind it, it is well on its way to making CLE a must-see fashion destination.
