The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, defeated the Midland RockHounds 3-1 Monday night. Collin Wiles tossed a quality start, allowing just one run through six innings of play. Catcher Jose Trevino led the offensive production, going 2-for-2 on the night.

Despite allowing the leadoff runner to reach base in the first four innings, Collin Wiles was impressive on the mound. He finished with 6.0 innings pitched, allowing six hits and one run (earned). Wiles struck out two batters, walking none. A “quality start” is defined as going at least six innings with three or fewer earned runs. Wiles delivered and set the tone for a RoughRiders starting rotation that hasn’t been hot lately.
