There is an interesting match-up between two teams with four losses on this week’s NFL schedule. The game I am referring to will see the Arizona Cardinals leave the warm weather of Phoenix and head North to chilly Minnesota to take on the Minnesota Vikings. The Cardinals pulled out a three point victory against the San Francisco 49ers a week ago. The Vikings are in a complete funk, and suffered yet another loss last week to the Washington Redskins.

The Arizona Cardinals are one of the biggest mysteries of the NFL season. One week they look really good, and the following week they seem like they can’t get a first down. Talk about a frustrating team to watch. In a home game against San Francisco, a team of this caliber should be able to win more convincingly than they did. It’s been obvious that something has been wrong with this team all season, and part of that issue comes with sticking the ball in the endzoe.

As for the Vikings, their team can be split in two. Their defense is extremely good, and their offense is one of the worst in the league. But the defense has not been the dominant force that it was in the beginning of the season lately, and as a result, the team has dropped four in a row since their bye week. The team cannot rely on their offense to put up points, so the defense needs to get back in the groove for the team to get back on track.

Given the Vikings are at home, and I never know what to make of the Cardinals, I will have to lean on that Minnesota defense stepping up this week. So it is not a pick filled with confidence, but hey, it’s a pick’em game, so i have a 50-50 shot.
