When the Week 5 NFL slate kick off it will start with the Arizona Cardinals traveling to take on the San Francisco 49ers. There will be some changes for this game. The primary change will be that the Cardinals will be without QB Carson Palmer. What does this mean for fantasy? Well, it opens up the possibilities of options. Here are my fantasy football sleepers for the game Thursday Night.
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are going to be without their main signal caller, Carson Palmer. This means that the starting QB will be Drew Stanton. He is my sleeper this week for the Cards. Why do I feel the QB is the sleeper? The 49ers are probably going to shift their focus the Arizona Cardinals run game. They are going to put 8 in the box and make Drew Stanton beat them. He certainly can do so. I look for a solid game from Stanton. I look for him to make a statement for the Cardinals and get them back on the winning ways. I believe the Drew Stanton will throw for 280 yards and 2 TDs. Keep your eye on Drew Stanton for a late lineup change.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are a team in turmoil. There is a QB on their bench who is making a stand. This said QB is also looking to get some playing time. However, this is Blaine Gabbert’s team. He has some less than impressive stars on the outside. But there is one who should shine out, WR Jeremy Kerley.
The slot WR of the 49ers should have a pretty solid game. Although the defense of the Arizona Cardinals is one the better in the league, the underneath can be a weak spot. Keep your eye on Jeremy Kerley for you weekly and even daily fantasy football teams.
The Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers should be a pretty good game. I expect it to be your typical NFC West game. Those are usually low scoring, defensive games. There could be a potential for some big plays. If that happens, then keep your eyes on the above players for your fantasy football teams.
