As Week 3 of the NFL season is arriving,  a couple of things are coming into focus. The superstars will get their points eventually so you got to keep using them regardless of the cost and because you have payroll tied up in two or three studs each lineup you need a few cheap guys that are sleepers and have a realistic shot at busting out. That’s where this article can help. During Week 1, Will Fuller was one to watch, and he came through with flying colors. Last week Jimmy Garoppolo had 20 plus points in the first half before being injured.

This week will be no different. There are many players with ample opportunities to put your lineups into the winners circle. Give the list a good look over, let it marinate for a bit, then add them with a pinch of confidence to your squad.

QB – Not a lot of options this week as 18 quarterbacks were above $7,500 for payroll.  My selection will be Ryan Tannehill for $7,400. He looked good in the second half against the Patriots and with Davante Parker coming into his own Tannehill could be poised for a big day against Cleveland.  My prediction will be a conservative 22 of 33 for 325 yards and two TD strikes.

RB – This is a hunch play, but my selection is Tevin Coleman for $6,400. Each week he grabs 10-12 carries and is the passing down running back in most situations, coupled with the fact that the Falcons are playing the Saints in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football. Both teams have defensive issues, and these two teams more often than not end up in a shootout.  Prediction: 10 carries for 50 yards 5 receptions for 45 yards and a TD.

WR – With Donte Moncrief out for the next four to six weeks, my choice for this week is Phillip Dorsett at a paltry $6,000.  Dorsett will move into the number two WR slot with T.Y. Hilton on the opposite side. Playing San Diego in Indianapolis could be a high scoring game with plenty of deep threat opportunity. My guess is he hits paydirt.  A prediction of 6 receptions for 85 yards and a score is very realistic.

TE – A bit of a risk here due to injury but the selection is Tyler Eifert for $5,500. If he plays, this sleeper is a huge bargain. Check the injury update before the games on Sunday to make sure he is playing. Playing Denver and their defense means Andy Dalton will be throwing a lot. Prediction:  6 receptions for 65 yards and two TDs.  Should Eifert not be available, ride the wave with Dennis Pitta for $5,000. He is one of Joe Flacco’s favorite targets and had double-digit looks last week. Prediction: 7 receptions for 55 yards and a score.
