The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, defeated the San Antonio Missions Sunday night, 6-5. A walk-off sacrifice fly from Michael De Leon gave the RoughRiders the victory and gave them their third win of the four-game set against the first place Missions. Frisco now sits at 44-56 on the season.
Tyler Davis took the hill for the RoughRiders. He completed his outing after six innings, allowing six hits and four runs (three earned). Davis walked one and struck out three, giving up three home runs. He was given a no-decision after a blown save by the bullpen. Reed Garret was credited with the blown save, after allowing two hits and one run (unearned) in his one inning of work.
Infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa highlighted the offensive performance for the RoughRiders. He went 2-3, with a double, one RBI, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Jose Trevino, an All-Star catcher for Frisco, finished 2-4, with a home run, and two RBIs. The game winner came from De Leon. With the bases loaded in the ninth, he hit a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Royce Bolinger and ending the game. The club left five men on base in total, hitting 4-10 with runners in scoring position.
