New York Fashion Week.

Considered by many to be THE must-attend event whether you’re an up-and-coming model, designer or style guru, NYFW is the place to be seen to be seen.

With notables such as longtime Vogue editor Anne Wintour, notable designers such as Michael Kors, Vera Wang, Yves St. Laurent, Calvin Klein, Tom Ford and notable celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been known to be front row to see some of spring’s hottest fashion trends front and center.

Notable luxury brands and buyers use New York Fashion Week as a proverbial Super Bowl to see and showcase the hottest new trends and styles. Notable models who have strolled the NYFW catwalk include the likes of Gigi and Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Kendall Jenner.

With the world of modeling always looking for the hottest and freshest face or new look, New York Fashion Week may have gotten an injection of Philadelphia-style flavor in the form of fashion model Bella DeMone.

DeMone, a 31-year-old native of the City of Brotherly Love, has modeled for the likes of Harley Davidson and Bella Chantelle. Thanks to an exotic, ethnic olive-skinned look and alluring dark brown hair and mesmerizing eyes, Demone is a versatile and stunning Italian beauty, who is both modest and humble, yet beautiful, sassy and street-smart.

Below is my Q and A with Ms. Demone as we talk NYFW, spring fashion tips, her love of her Philly sports and her exciting plans for 2017 and beyond!

Robert D. Cobb: Congratulations on walking the catwalk during New York Fashion Week, what was that like and what did you gain the most from the experience?

Bella DeMone: What it was like….Well getting the opportunity to go to New York for the event was amazing, but I did anticipate it to be chaotic, because its NY. It was pretty chaotic, however I absolutely loved every second of it. So many models, make artists, hair stylist and designers, we all had to fit in one room which was long but narrow.  What I’ve gain is the amount of respect and networking and getting to know more people. You learn a lot and see more.

Robert D. Cobb: In the modeling world, networking is key, any new contacts and potential opportunities in the pipeline?

Bella DeMone: Networking is key and highly important, without connecting with people it would be super hard to me at least. One thing for sure is always to be yourself no matter what. To speak about opportunities, I won’t kiss and tell. You’ll have to wait and see.

Robert D. Cobb: You have a very alluring and exotic look, what do you feel you bring to the world of fashion and modeling?

Bella DeMone: I feel as though it’s not just my look but also personality. The combination is powerful and important to me. I put my all into a project because it’s an art that I absolutely love. On another note, team work as well, when you have group that is positive and wants to accomplish the same makes everything so much better.

Robert D. Cobb: What brands have you modeled for?

Bella DeMone: TMD by Tatiana, Bella Chantelle, Harley Davidson and Sozo Signature.

Robert D. Cobb: Which one do you enjoy modeling for the most?

Bella DeMone: I couldn’t just choose one. They were all equally amazing experiences in there own way. I was truly blessed for the opportunity and humbled to be working with such talented people.

Robert D. Cobb: Where has been your favorite place to shoot?

Bella DeMone: My favorite place to shoot was Frog Hollow Studio in Newtown square PA. They have an old barn style setup out in the country side. It’s in the middle of some really great scenery.

Robert D. Cobb: What is the most exciting aspect of modeling?

Bella DeMone: Oh, there is so many aspects to modeling that excite me. I get to work with creative people from all walks of life. I get to wear hand crafted clothing that someone put so much work into. I believe representing someone’s brand and/or event is such an honor.
Robert D. Cobb: Within the industry, who is your inspiration?

Bella DeMone: I don’t have one person and or model that inspires me. I had this deep passion for modeling for a long time and as I grow in the industry I am finding my inspiration coming from my friends and family.

They have been my biggest fans and it makes me want to go harder. I also finding a newly found inspiration coming from social media. The love from people enjoying my work is awesome! I really appreciate ever like and comment.

Robert D. Cobb: What is your secret to staying in shape?

Bella DeMone: At this point, I don’t have set regimen but I am always on the go. I don’t consume large quantities of food and I am very active. I am focused on keeping a good balance.

Robert D. Cobb: With winter here and spring around the corner, what new fashion trends do you see coming up in 2017?

Bella DeMone: There’s lot of trends happening left to right, sometimes you got to be creative and give it a twist. Bright colors and be bold.

Robert D. Cobb: What tips can you give your fellow sisters out there on how to up their style game this season?

Bella DeMone: I’d tell them to stay on top of social media such as Instagram, because you’ll see trends from all over the world, from models, designers, your every day girl. And again, you don’t always have to follow it because I don’t. I like to be different and separate myself from that time to time.
Robert D. Cobb: Outside of modeling, what are your hobbies?

Bella DeMone: Hobbies: I love to explore new places, even if it’s somewhere within my own city.

I enjoy amazing landscapes and high energy city like New York. I also have a desire to discover great cuisine. I’m my own personal food critic…LOL! Besides that I do all the normal activities like bowling, movies, shopping and dancing… I love dancing!

Sports question: Who are your favorite teams and clubs?

Bella DeMone: I’ve been a Eagles for a very long time, despite the fact that have family members that are hardcore Dallas Cowboy fans. I get a lot of trash talk from a certain cousin…LOL! I have to say that I attempted to be a Dallas Cowboy fan for a moment in my life but went right back to my roots. Go Eagles!

Robert D. Cobb: As some of your shoots suggest, you’re a bit of a football junkie, how did you first get into football?

Bella DeMone: I guess it was because of my families interest in football. The little gathering, etc.

Fantasy football? Who is your top player and who would you draft? fantasy football?

Bella DeMone: N/V

Robert D. Cobb: Since you’re an Eagles fan and didn’t really have a dog in the Super Bowl, who were you rooting for and why?

Bella DeMone: Well to be honest, I love the Eagles and it was hard to root for just any team, but I was leaning towards the Patriots along with Tom Brady. Haha…He’s awesome and is very well dedicated to his work.

College football? Who is your team?

Bella DeMone: The Florida Gators.

Robert D. Cobb: You know that you are the epitome of every guys wet dream in being a football fan, are you single or spoken for?

Bella DeMone: I was raised to keep my relationship status personal and off the social media radar. First of, if I say I am single I will attract the “what you doing tonight” crowd. And relationships are hard enough to balance out with my lifestyle, I wouldn’t want to add more pressure by advertising it.

Robert D. Cobb: Since you’re from Philly, what’s up with your boy, (Sixers center) Joel Embiid? He on the come up! What are your thoughts on him?

Bella DeMone: Well, all I can really say is that he seems to be a well-rounded basketball player and loves what he does, however I do not follow basketball as much so I cannot really input on that.

Robert D. Cobb: What are your favorite cities to travel to?

Bella DeMone: Miami and New York City

Robert D. Cobb: What’s next for you this year and beyond?

Bella DeMone: Well my family, which included my mom and her boyfriend and of course two of my best friends came to support me, so they all stayed which was incredible. I couldn’t have been more happier. Right now, I am currently working on a few projects and hope to attend more castings in Philly area or New York. I am trying really hard and hope to make it to some place huge.

Gain more exposure and see the world is my ultimate goal.

Robert D. Cobb: What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into modeling?

Bella DeMone: I recommend that they enjoy the journey and don’t lose track of their goals. No matter what anyone says keep confident. If something don’t feel right, it’s most-likely not. Trust your instincts! If modeling is your true passion all the hard work will be rewarding.

Don’t lose yourself and being humble is a great trait.
