Welcome to Arrowhead Jets’ fans. Week 3 of the NFL season sees the New York Jets fly into Kansas City for a match-up against the Chiefs. Week 2 saw the Jets emerged the victors in Buffalo on Thursday night against the Bills. Meanwhile, the Chiefs lost 19-12 on the road in Houston to the Texans.

The Jets primary weakness is hands down their secondary. The Bills proved last week that the unit could be exploited for a big play or four. And if a team can burn Darrelle Revis early, he showed he would play very safe the rest of the game. Otherwise, the Jets defense is solid, and should be up for any challenge thrown their way. Offensively, the team is nothing special, and this should be a lower scoring affair.

The Chiefs have opened the season struggling as a whole. They needed a furious comeback to win at home in overtime in week 1. Then in week two they could not get much of anything going on the road. So week three will be a real test for the team, as this will show us if they are better than they have shown thus far. Jamaal Charles may or may not be back this week. If not, expect another heavy dose of Spencer Ware. Ware has been a highlight for the club thus far and showed last week he can still do well against a hard defense.

The Chiefs do not utilize the big passing game, so will they be able to pick apart the Jets’ weak secondary? Their game-plan could be the difference maker in this one. I do not think either team is that great, and I think the Chiefs end up pulling this one out thanks to home field advantage. The three-point spread is tricky, and this one could easily end in a push, but I will lean in the Chiefs’ direction since I  like them slightly more.
