Sharon K’s more influential project, ׳׳Sharon’s Stones׳׳ is set to open their Tel Aviv tour at the legendary Mike’s Place on Thursday, April 4th. This time, her band will be playing original tracks and arrangements from Sharon K’s upcoming album. Q: Sharon, your ability to blend different genres has earned you much praise. What drives you to explore such a wide range of musical styles?
Sharon K: Music is a limitless canvas for me. Each genre offers a unique emotional palette, and I want to keep exploring new ways to express myself. Sticking to one style feels like a box—I prefer to let the music flow freely and adapt to my mood and experiences.
Q: What themes have influenced your songwriting for the upcoming material?
Sharon K: My inspiration comes from a variety of places—emotional highs and lows, as well as quiet moments of looking within. I pull from the small, meaningful details in life, like a conversation or a fleeting idea. The album is a snapshot of human experience, something everyone can relate to.
Q: Sharon’s Stones is debuting in Tel Aviv soon. What can we expect from the show?
Sharon K: This show is going to be a real reflection of everything that Sharon’s Stones stands for. The audience will get to experience a dynamic mix of beats—some uplifting, others mellow, with a combination synths, and brass section which I really feel upgrades it all. There will be moments of high-energy upbeat and fun improvisation, as well as delicate, melodic soothing ballads that tell our deep personal stories. I really feel like it’s a unique experience from start to finish.
Q: Mike’s Place is a venue with a rich legacy. How does it feel to perform there?
Sharon K: It’s an honor! Mike’s Place has been home to so many incredible performances, and it holds a special energy and a dedicated crowd. It feels like the perfect stage to debut Sharon’s Stones. I’m excited to share this music with an audience that values live music as much as I do.
Q: What’s your biggest hope for this show?
Sharon K: I want the audience to leave feeling like they’ve shared something special. My goal is always to create a connection—a feeling that they’ve been part of something real and meaningful.
