The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting the Washington Redskins in week 14 NFL action on Sunday. All the information to tune into this game is listed below.
The Washington Redskins laid an egg last week against the Arizona Cardinals. In a game that was there for the taking, the Redskins defense crashed hard. Can they recover this week against a weak Philadelphia Eagles team? Here are my 3 weekly keys to a Redskins victory in week 14.
Disrespect the Eagles WRs
I understand that we have struggled in recent weeks with pass coverage. This is the week to get it right. The Philadelphia Eagles are the 23rd ranked pass offense in the NFL. Our talents on the outside are way better than theirs. We need to take advantage of this. Jam them at the line of scrimmage and throw off all timing. We need to make Carson Wentz go to his 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th read. If we do that then we should get to him with the defensive front. Play this week with reckless abandon.

The Eagles beat you with the pass
This goes along with the above key. The Eagles still have a pretty solid running game. They have Darren Sproles and the rookie Wendall Smallwood. Together they form a pretty solid one-two punch. The Washington Redskins need to drop a safety and make the Eagles throw the football. The offensive line of the Eagles is not that good. The Redskins should be able to create pressures up front and force Wentz into mistakes. The Redskins are still 18th in pass defense. It is time to stand up and make a statement this week.
Red Zone, Red ZONE, RED ZONE!!!
This is like preaching to the choir. The Washington Redskins are awful in the Red Zone, on both sides of the ball. In the NFL, if you cannot score TDs inside the 20 you are going to be in a lot of ball games that, well, maybe you should not be in. That has happened to the 2016 Washington Redskins. The have issues with the 20-yard line. On defense when teams get into the Red Zone it is almost an automatic TD. They are currently the 3oth ranked Red Zone defense in terms of scoring percentage. They allow 68% of the trips inside the 20 to score TDs. They have got to stiffen up. On offense when they get the Red Zone things just seem to stop for them. They are currently 3rd in Red Zone attempts. It is doing something with those attempts that are the issue. The Washington Redskins are currently 31st in Red Zone scoring at 44%. Only the New York Jets are worse. Yes, folks, even the Cleveland Browns, and San Francisco 49ers are better at scoring inside the 20. The Redskins have no problem getting there, they just have a problem punching it in. They can fix this in week 14.

The Washington Redskins are beating themselves more than the opponent is beating them. This is not a good sign for a potential playoff team. In order to be a respected, legitimate playoff team they need to stop making silly mistakes. They also need to play consistent on defense. If they can get it right, they could be dangerous going forward! ALWAYS HTTR!!!!
