The San Francisco 49ers proved that the team is capable of winning an ugly football game with Brock Purdy as the starting quarterback.
Dak Prescott once again wilted under pressure. He threw two interceptions in the first half. Yet the Dallas Cowboys defense held the 49ers offense to two field attempts that were made by Robbie Gould. In the fourth quarter he nearly threw the game deciding pick-six to linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
For Prescott and the Cowboys offense, late in the first half running back Tony Pollard suffered a high ankle sprain and did not return. A big blow to the offense, kicker Brett Maher got his only chance at a extra point blocked, yet did make two field goals.
Ceedee Lamb became the primary offensive weapon for Prescott after Pollard went down. He made a difficult catch while getting interfered with that went for 44 yards. It was the longest play for either team. That drive did end up stalling and ended in a punt.
