With more individuals working from home and running home-based businesses, one must be comfortable in making money producing content online via blogging.

There are many ways one can make money online blogging and while I have personally experienced making money blogging from my time as a former NBA Network Manager/Senior Editor at Rant Sports to my time here as Founder, Publisher and CEO of this digital magazine, there are many affiliate, guest and sponsored posts and PPC (pay-per-click) blogger networks, one can make a quality living from blogging.

What and how you chose your path is ultimately up to you, as you are the one responsible for the direction of your own website or blog. But be sure to chose your blog network, advertisers and content carefully.

Below are my personal five ways to do so.

Guest and Sponsored Posts: Not to divulge too many internal secrets of INSCMagazine, but I will say that offering to post guest and sponsored posts for a fee is a great way to make some money, as well as help make your own blog a self-sufficient well-running website.

Obviously, you can set your own price as to what you wish to charge, depending on the content.

As long as you are reasonable, flexible and willing to work with various marketing companies and brands, this is a great way to being in some additional operating revenue as well as put a couple of dollars in your own pocket.

As an additional bonus, most companies will also promote and share your content on their social media channels.

Offer to write guest content for other sites: This is a win-win for both parties. You write the content, along with providing a link back to YOUR site on their website, while getting a nice bump in traffic as well.

Coming from someone who has done this in the past, writing guest blogs for other sites is—next to posting and sharing—the best form of free marketing and advertising for one’s own website and brand that you can get, as you will literally reap the benefits of having your written content seen on another website, while getting your own website’s name out there.

Talk about having your cake and eating it too!

Write product/celebrity reviews/interview features: While these don’t normally pay any money upfront, writing a review of a product or doing a interview feature of a celebrity or public figure does pay dividends down the line in the form of additional traffic and views.

Personally, I’am of the mindset of featuring up-and-coming trends, models, actors, actresses, etc and being at the forefront of something that could possibly become big, instead of proverbially playing from behind and regurgitating the same hype after it’s already blown up and gone viral.

Look Into Google AdSense/Monumetric: This is key. If you are seriously considering monetizing your site, then looking at PPC (pay-per-click) options such as Google AdSense is the way to go.

Depending on how much traffic your website generates, sign up a PPC or paying-blog network such as Monumetric is a nice way to bring in some additional part-time income on the side.

Sell advertising space on your website or blog: This is also a great way to make some money for you personally and your blog. With websites and blogs becoming the newest “it” platform for digital advertisers and prospective sponsors to market, selling ad space on your website is the way to go.

Depending on your current website template and spaces available to put a banner for a company or would-be sponsor, you can set and determine your own prices.
