The 2016 Jacksonville Jaguars have got to be one of, if not, the biggest disappointments thus far. They have a chance, to begin to turn things around, with a week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Can Blake Bortles quit turning the ball over and find his teammates? Can the young defense of the Jags make a statement? These questions and more will lead to a Jaguars loss or victory on Sunday. Is week 9 a good week to buy or sell the Jacksonville Jaguars?

Blake Bortles was supposed to have a breakout season in 2016. He has been far from that. He has simply taken, what seems to be, a step back in his development. He is currently tied for 3rd in the NFL with 9 interceptions. All he seems to do is find the opposite color jersey when throwing the ball. And they seem to come at the most critical of times. Is this what Blake Bortles has become? If so, the Jags may want to revisit the QB position in the 2017 draft. This team has too much talent to sit there and waste it on a turnover machine. They need to start winning.

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense is one of the youngest in the league. With players like Dante Fowler Jr, Malik Jackson, Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack, Davon House, and Telvin Smith they should be killing offenses. That is not the case. I know that, as a young player, it takes some time to adjust to the NFL. Here we are in week 9 and the Jaguars are ranked 13th in total defense. At the beginning of the year, I would have thought this defense would have been a 10 defense at this point of the season. That is not the case. Teams are able to move the ball and at times have their way with this young defense.

If the Jacksonville Jaguars want to have a shot at turning their season around and making the playoffs it starts in week 9. The Kansas City Chiefs are playing with a backup QB in Nick Foles and have lost RB Jamaal Charles for the season. This young defense will need to get after Foles and he will make mistakes. This game is there to win if the Jacksonville Jaguars want it. I am buying the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 9, in an upset, over the Kansas City Chiefs.
