After leading all rookies in rushing, Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) Tuesday.

Lacy, 23, was taken in the second-round pick out of Alabama—61st overall—set Green Bay rookie records in rushes (284) and touchdowns (11).  The three-time national champion and former Crimson Tide standout had four 100-yard games, tied for the most among rookies and fifth all players, and rushed for 1,178 yards averaging 78.5 in 15 games.

In a 23-20 loss to the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers, Lacy rushed for 81 yards on 21 carries.
