What is it?

The Nomad Internet Travel Bag Kit is a brand new all-in-one system for connecting to the internet no matter where you might be.

Designed to provide truly fast download and upload speeds, the kit is perfect for on-the-go users who enjoy going “off the grid” while still staying connected.

Housed in an easy-to-carry pouch, the kit includes a wireless router, a backup battery capable of holding up to seven days’ worth of charge, an AC adapter, and On/Off switch, and a space-saving power adapter.

Who is it for?

The Nomad Internet Travel Bag Kit is built for travelers, campers, rural residents, and anyone who wants the convenience of high-speed wireless internet in places without a reliable connection.

The kit is well suited for those who live in an RV, enjoy the digital nomad lifestyle, or simply want to stay connected while traveling.

How do you use it?

Using the Travel Bag Kit is simple. Simply plug the wireless router into a power source and turn it on and—voila!—you’ve got internet.

Users staying in out-of-the-way hotels or trying to work in remote buildings, like a farmhouse or a rural coffee shop, can plug the router directly into a wall outlet using the AC adapter. Those who are further removed from electricity can enjoy fast wireless internet access by attaching the router to the battery pack.

The battery pack will hold a charge for a full week, and can be recharged by connecting it to any standard wall socket. Even better, the battery pack comes has multiple outlets that allow it to power several devices at once. This lets users surf the internet on their laptops while charging their phones or any number of gadgets.

The pack holds enough power to accommodate every user for long stretches without needing a recharge, said YouTube product reviewer @DroidModderX who recently tried out the Nomad Internet Travel Big Kit for himself.

“I’ve been using this all day and I’m still at 98 percent. I’ve been using this for three or four hours straight and it’s still that full,” he said “What I love about this is that it can provide power to the router itself while providing power to other devices, so you can power this up while charging your laptop or your cell phone. Or you can power this up for a full seven days.

But does it work?

The biggest selling point of Nomad Internet’s service and products is their functionality. Not only does the Travel Bag Kit deliver reliable internet in remote locations, it provides connections at high speeds.

To test the theory out, our reviewer took the Travel Bag Kit to far-flung locations. Not only did Nomad Internet provide service in the middle of nowhere, it also beat out the home internet options his rural friends rely on.

Will it work for home use?

People that live in rural areas shouldn’t have to deal with slow internet. [My friends] had mentioned on their 5 over 1, they can stream Netflix but if someone tries to get on their phone and scroll through their newsfeed, it will buffer. Or sometimes they’ll be browsing YouTube and it will buffer, even if no one else is browsing,” he said. “We stared out by testing their AT&T internet and they were getting what they were paying for at just over 5 megabytes per seconds down. Then we switched over to the Nomad router, and we got 49 megabytes per second … Watching content online, whether YouTube or Netflix was no issue. I was able to surf on my phone while watching the videos with no buffering or lag. So content viewing was really good.”

How does the kit connect to the internet?

Nomad Internet built its name on providing fast and reliable internet access to rural residents and businesses. The company launched in 2007 with offerings limited to Texas residents and has quickly expanded to cover the whole of the United States.

The company can offer access to the internet by partnering with many different cellular providers and offering its customers the use of their systems. This gives Nomad Internet access to virtually every available source of internet in the area, meaning there’s no more frustrating periods of waiting for an app to load or your email to download when you step outside of your cell phone provider’s coverage area. With Nomad Internet, customers have access to more covered spaces—even those that have notoriously bad service.
