Bikinis. Beaches. Music. Debauchery. Welcome to spring break!
With many colleges around the country set to take a break during the spring semester this March, many co-ed’s across the country are already making plans on where to go, who to go with and how to have their own form of March Madness fun!
Below are the top spring break destinations—in no particular order—for college students to live it up and party hard at in 2016!
Cancun, Mexico: A long-time hot spot for co-ed’s to party at, Cancun offers picturesque beaches, numerous resorts and non-stop energetic nightlife, sure to draw many college students far and wide to this beautiful city on the Yucatan Peninsula.
Las Vegas, Nevada: VEGAS! What else needs to be said. Casinos, hot women and gambling! It’s so on in Sin City!
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico: Another long-time Mexican resort hotspot, Cabo is one of the hottest and most frequented destinations for co-ed’s, thanks to it’s beaches such as Playa El Medano, Playa del Amor and El Arco, bars and outdoor restaurants.
Panama City Beach, Florida: Thanks to it’s humid climate, distinctive sandy white beaches and an annual influx of co-eds every year, the so-called “Spring Break Capital of the World” never disappoints and always lives up to the hype of being a popular hotspot for co-eds each year.
San Diego, California/Tijuana, Mexico: Thanks to high-end areas such as La Jolla, Oceanside, being home to THE geek-a-palooza event also know as the San Diego Comic Con, bustling nightlife in the Gas Lamp District, breath-taking views and being only a train ride away from TJ, aka Tijuana to the locals, San Diego is one of the places to go for spring break. Affordable, fun and always popular, San Diego is always a spring break haven.
Miami, Florida: Endless beaches, never-ending nightlife, hot clubs and celebrities! Miami is one of THE hottest places to go if you are a co-ed. With it’s combination of people-watching, attractive scenery and proximity, Miami is THE spot for spring break.
Los Angeles, California: Much like San Diego to the south, “The City of Angels” has a lot to offer co-eds in the form of beaches, shopping, nightlife and culture. While some may not normally associate L.A. with spring break, thanks to popular attractions such as Hollywood, Disneyworld, Beverly Hills and other points of interest including Huntington Beach, Santa Monica, The Sunset Strip, Van Nuys, Orange County and Malibu, Los Angeles is one of the best-kept secrets when it comes to spring break.
New York City, New York: Another unlikely choice for co-ed’s to go to on spring break, but if beaches and sweltering heat are not your cup of tea, what better place to ball out in during the break than the Big Apple itself! Thanks to a plethora of culture, nightlife, restaurants and non-stop things to do, the “City That Never Sleeps” may be the perfect place for all-night debauchery.
South Padre Island, Texas: Home to the Isla Grand Beach Resort, the so-called “largest spring break party on the planet”, per The Travel Channel, this popular south Texas resort town brings in college students from all over the country and the world every year. Thanks to it’s humid climate, beaches and ol’ Texas feel, South Padre Island is easily one of the top three spring break places to be.
New Orleans, Louisiana: Another underrated spring break hot spot, “The Crescent City” may be better known as the home of Mardi Gras and Bourbon St, but make no mistake, NOLA knows how to let the good times roll. With it’s unique French, Creole and Cajun culture in the form of the French Quarter and unique cuisine such as jambalaya, po-boys, gumbo and crawfish etouffe, N’awlins is a city not to be missed on your spring break bucket list.
Laissez les bon temps rouler!
