Well, everyone wondered how the defending World Champion Golden State Warriors would do without their leader. The best shooter in this era. Their Captain. Chef Curry.

Just fine thank you very much.

They cruised to a 4-1 series win over San Antonio with three of those wins coming by double-digits including a 21-point destruction in Game 1 in Oakland.

Then on Saturday night, they roared to a 22-point win over the hottest team in the West in the New Orleans Pelicans even with Anthony Davis in the lineup. But many asked the question aloud, when will Steph return.

Tonight IS that night.

Through confirmed reports and through the words of Steve Kerr, the Dubs’ captain will make his NBA Playoff debut tonight before his adoring fans at Roaracle in Oakland.

The Champs get their leader – and do you know what the rest of the NBA is saying?

OH S–T!! Heeeee’s BAAAAAAAACK!!!!

The Warriors to date are averaging 108.1 PPG in this year’s playoffs. All without Stephen. Which should frighten you because Chef Curry can light it up from anywhere and he brings a 26.7 PPG average back into the lineup. A lineup already loaded with Kevin Durant, the reigning Finals MVP, Draymond Green, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Klay Thompson, one of the best sharpshooters in the NBA, not to mention a bench mob of Shaun Livingston, JaVale McGee (yes HIM), Quin Cook, and – dare I say it – Nick Young.

But you add Steph to this dangerous group of Warriors and their average goes way up. And they feel blessed. I’ve always said that the Dubs are will average 110 without Curry, now with him back, they’ll be back to their hyperwarp, breakneck speed and make the pace about 130 points.

Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, Rajon Rondo, you guys had a great run, but you better get ready for the return of the Chief.

Or should I say Chef. Game 2 tonight – 10:30pm ET from Oracle Arena in Oakland
