Since Impact Wrestling has been around, they have honored their superstars by inducting them in their Hall of Fame. According to reports, the class of 2017 will be none other than the cowboy, James Storm. Over the years, the Impact Hall of Fame has seen the likes of Sting, Kurt Angle, Gail Kim, and others get the applaud that they so rightly deserve. The induction for the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame happens around the weekend of Slammiversary.
What makes the induction of James Storm to be historical is that it is the first true TNA person to be inducted. If you look at the names of the others who have been inducted, they have had made a name for themselves outside of the TNA world. I am fully behind the idea of Impact Wrestling inducting James Storm into their Hall of Fame as he happens to be one of the originals. He happened to be one of the first people to sign with the company when it began in 2002.
The only problem that Impact Wrestling is going to run into is that they don’t have many wrestlers who are on their roster who started with the company. If you look at some of the names that started with them back in 2002 like AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, and Eric Young to name a few have all made the move to the WWE over the last year.
As far as James Storm, he deserves of the honor. He has had several memorable moments in the history of TNA/Impact Wrestling. For starters, he was part of the legendary tag team, Beer Money, with Bobby Roode that dominated the tag team scene of TNA for years. Another reason why he is the right person of this honor is by his accolades. In his TNA/Impact Wrestling career, he is a seven time NWA Tag team champion, TNA King of the Mountain Champion, TNA World Heavyweight Champion, TNA World Tag Team Championship, and other belts that he has won.
