Day 2:
Second Round: Pick 47- Taylor Moton (OT/OG) – Western Michigan
With the Lions paying Wagner $47.5 million dollar contract as a 5-year deal via Spotrac, a starter at right tackle is needed. James Hurst is a backup at best and is not the solution.
Taylor Moton out of Western Michigan can play tackle or guard and has the versatility to do so. He can be the big mauler on the offensive line at 6’5″, 319 lbs. Other teams may select him before the Ravens in round 2 but for now, the Ravens get a nice piece to beef up the offensive line.
Third Round: Pick 78- Derek Rivers (EDGE) – Youngstown State
The Ravens need youth at outside linebacker. Outside linebacker is a big need because Dumervil was cut in free agency. Also, a potential replacement or someone opposite Terrell Suggs has to be considered.
Matt Judon had a nice rookie season and Za’Darius Smith had a down year. Also, Kamalei Correa converted to inside linebacker and did not play for most of 2016.
Youngstown State OLB Derek Rivers would fit the Ravens well as productive, small-school pass rusher. Rivers had 13 sacks in 2014 and 14 sacks in 2016 and would bring a different speed element to the outside linebackers. This would be unique to the traditional Ravens pass rusher as he is 6’4″, 248 lbs. Some people think Rivers could be gone by the 3rd round.

Third Round: Pick 99 (Compensatory)- Chidobie Awuzie (CB) – Colorado
The Ravens did sign Brandon Carr from the Cowboys in free agency. Although he is a reliable veteran, Carr is not the long term solution.
Colorado cornerback Chidobie Awuzie would be a steal here at this pick. The 6’0, 202 lbs. cornerback displayed great athleticism and versatility. Known for his coverage ability, he would fit well with the Ravens as it was a weakness in 2016.
With this 3 round draft, the Ravens would end up with a big target at receiver, a solid right tackle starter, an athletic edge rusher, and a cover corner with some versatility.
