COLUMBUS – According to media reports, the body of missing Ohio State Buckeyes offensive lineman, Kosta Karageorge was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the Ohio State campus.

Karageorge, 22, a former fifth-year Buckeyes walk-on had been missing since Wednesday morning just before 2 a.m., was found in a dumpster per the Columbus Police Report. Before the the OSU-Michigan game, the team and family issued a PSA with a missing poster asking for help in finding the missing lineman.

Per NBC News, the 6’3, 273-pound Karageorge sent a text message to his mother, Susan apologizing for being an “embarrassment” over suffering from concussions and a history of brian injury, per Land Grant Holy Land.

He is survived by his mother Susan, his father George, and sister Sophia.
